|The Dzogchen Community is a broad association of people brought together by a common interest in the teaching of Dzogchen Ati, who follow it under the guidance of a master possessing authentic knowledge of the state of Dzogchen, who study and practice each according to his or her own capacity, and who further the circumstances necessary for these activities.|
The various Dzogchen Community centers are places where it is possible to collaborate with other practitioners toward a common spiritual enrichment. They make up a Mandala, or network, that covers the various geographical areas of the world. Chögyal Namkhai Norbu's main centers, or Gars (literally meaning dwelling), are places where large retreats take place. They are located in Italy, Romania, the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, and Australia. Lings are places where practitioners that live near each other can get together and practice.
