The eight fundamental aspects of breath in Yantra Yoga (inhaling slowly, holding open, directing the hold, fast exhalation, fast inhalation, closing the hold, holding with contraction, and exhaling slowly) are a unique set of exercises that apply movement and breath in a precise, coordinated, and conscious way.
Teacher Bio: Martina Kacurova
Martina has found inspiration, sanctuary, and strength since starting her yoga journey 10+ years ago after meeting her teacher Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. In 2013 she became certified as a Yantra Yoga Instructor. She believes this Tibetan Yoga system, called Union of Sun and Moon (Yantra) can benefit anybody. She continues to study with Internationally known teacher Fabio Andrico.
Prior to teaching, Martina had a long professional career as a registered nurse where she became well versed in anatomy, physiology, and the ills of the human body. Martina loves to combine this expertise with the wisdom of Yantra Yoga to explore the mind/body connection with students. Her classes focus on presence and harmonizing each movement with breath, ultimately leading individuals to awareness of who we all are in FULL in each moment of daily living.
