Barton Cove Camping Area

Showers are available near the ranger station, and there are two group sites available for larger groups interested in camping together. Two sites suitable for pop-up trailers or class C camper vans are also available. The sites have no utility hookups. Village of Turners Falls nearby. Reservations will be taken beginning the first Wednesday in April, call: (413) 863-9300. A deposit is required to secure your reservation. "Thank you for your interest in the campground. So far we have many sites available at the campground, but this will change as we get closer to the camping season. People book their sites in late May. I have approx 26 tenting sites without any water or electric hookup and 4 with water and electric. I have many water and electric sites for people with their own RVs [recreational vehicles]. New for this year for us are two cabin rentals."

Avid gardeners will especially appreciate this location (about 15 minutes from the retreat site). Spanish spoken; cats live in barn; no smoking anywhere. No kitchen privileges. Owner has a large tent that could be used that accommodates about 5-6 people. Good internet and call phone reception, surrounded by gorgeous gardens full of flowers and herbs.
