Sessions include:

  • Study of Semde books by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu
  • Practice of Shiné methods with instruction
  • Discussion of texts and experiences of Shiné

Dzogchen Semde is an ancient and complete path to Contemplation in four stages.

These sessions will explore the stages of Shiné and Lhagtong in context of the 'Four Contemplations' of Semde. We will do this through readings of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, practicing methods of Shiné, and discussing our understanding and experiences.

Study will focus on in-class readings of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu's books on Semde, including:

  • An Introduction to the Practice of Contemplation
  • The Four Contemplations of Semde
  • Shiné and Lhagthong in the Dzogchen Teaching
  • Teachings on Semde by Sodogpa Lodrö Gyaltsen
  • The Four Contemplations in the Dzogchen Semde (Series 109E)

Practice of Shiné will include different methods for various situations and stages.

Discussion will center around the meaning of the readings and participants' experiences of practice.

Open to all who have received transmission from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu or Yeshi Namkhai, and to those who have an ongoing dedication to the Dzogchen path.

Santi Maha Sangha teacher Lynn Newdome leads this group. Lynn has been practicing, studying and teaching Dzogchen and Mahamudra methods of meditation for over fifty years.

The Northampton location for this class is Lynn's residence. The address will be emailed to participants upon registering for the course.
